At Edison International Academy, Muaither, we educate a multi-national student cohort, where naturally, levels of proficiency in English vary.

Therefore, we offer language support to help our non-English speaking students, guiding them towards reaching a degree of English language proficiency, which enables them to access the curriculum fully.

All students are assessed on entry and subsequently via diagnostic testing at the beginning of the school year, based on which a suitable curriculum is decided to help them reach their full potential academically. For some of our children, this may mean scheduled, small group EFL classes in place of regular English classes or in-class support through one of our EFL teachers. EFL lessons focus on practical language acquisition, and aims at developing vocabulary, pronunciation and fluency in the four skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) as a whole.
