Key Stage 1 Classrooms

Overview

In Key Stage 1, we ensure to deliver the highest possible standard of education. We follow the British National Curriculum. It provides an outline of core knowledge around which teachers can develop exciting and stimulating lessons to promote the development of pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills as part of the wider school curriculum. The National Curriculum Framework is just one element in the education of every child. There is time and space in the school day and in each month, term and year for activities that range beyond the National Curriculum specifications.
Students are taught English, Maths, Science, Social Studies, Arts, Music, Physical Education, Health and Emotional Education (PSHE). Also, they are taught Arabic, Islamic Studies, Qatar History, French and ICT. Moreover, there is an ESL program designed to help the students who require extra guidance and support and build on the learning delivered by the primary class teachers.
The programmes of study for English and Mathematics are delivered daily, and are developed to ensure that children learn the essential, basic skills necessary in order to succeed as a member of our global society.
