Edison Secondary School consists of a melting pot of 24 teachers from all over the world and over 200 students ranging from Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) up until Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11).
As a school, we encourage all of our students to become involved with school activities, make a commitment to academic excellence and be a contributor to the special spirit that exists in our school.
We strive to prepare all students to become lifelong learners so that they can function in a society and become responsible citizens of the world where they will be able to communicate effectively, not only using the technology provided to them, but also sustain speaking and other and collaborative skills that will allow them the confidence to contribute to the global society.
Our department is well-appointed with staff members who are competent, specialising in their fields as subject teachers in Mathematics, Science, English, French, ICT, Arabic, Islamic Studies, Business studies and Global Citizenship, The arts, music, French as well as Physical education which ensures that students have a well-balanced timetable. We are driven by commitment and excellence and we encourage our students to work hard, be positive, wear a smile, make good decisions and always look for the good in all people.
We are also accredited, and have worked with both the Edexcel and Cambridge programmes, which will provide our students with enough choice of doing the best programme catered to their needs.
We believe that all students can achieve and succeed; and as professional staff we are here to make it happen. We understand that all students are unique and therefore, also learn at different paces as from others, therefore our school has an ESL program set up which runs co-operatively hand-in hand with the customary English schedule for years 7-9. A program where students who need extra support, are given the necessary attention and confidence to achieve more by helping them understand better and in their own stride.
We know that as a parent you want the best for your child and in partnership with you as the parent and primary caregiver, we want to help your child achieve the vision and goals you have set for them and set the standard for the quality education both you and your child deserves.
